About Us

Anderson Mill Gun Club is a small, volunteer-run community organization in northwest Austin, TX.

What We Are

Anderson Mill Gun Club is an independent, community-run organization for responsible firearms owners in the northwest Austin area. We are not affiliated with any national organization, political party, or advocacy group. We exist for one reason: to give people in our neighborhood a safe, welcoming place to practice and learn together.

We keep things small by design. A smaller group means everyone knows each other, events are easier to organize well, and we can actually look out for one another.

What We Value

Safety above everything. Every event we run follows strict range safety protocols. We take this seriously — not as a formality, but because we genuinely care about everyone going home safe.

Respect without exception. We don’t care about your politics, your background, your experience level, or anything else. If you treat people with respect and take safety seriously, you belong here.

Community over competition. We’re not a competition club and we don’t run rankings or leaderboards. We’re neighbors who share an interest and want to get better at it together.

Privacy by default. Event details are shared only with vetted members. This protects everyone — our members, our venues, and the community we’ve built.

How We’re Organized

The club is run entirely by volunteers. There are no paid staff, no dues, and no fees. Members who want to take on more responsibility are always welcome — the club is as active as the people in it.

We use a simple vetting process before sharing event details with new members. This isn’t about gatekeeping — it’s about making sure everyone who shows up has agreed to our safety standards and community expectations.
